Building Stronger Ponds, Smarter Farms, and Sustainable Futures

At MIPA Industries, we believe that progress in agriculture comes from shared knowledge, innovation, and collaboration. Our annual event, GeoWeld Connect, brings together all key stakeholders, policy makers, industry experts, dealers, and installers on one platform to advance the standards of geomembrane welding, pond lining, and water conservation across India.

Held on October 9, 2025, at Pune, this year’s GeoWeld Connect 2025 was organized in partnership with our long-standing technology collaborator Weldy India. The summit brought together leaders from government agencies, BIS officials, horticulture experts, and the polymer industry to discuss innovations that are shaping the future of sustainable farming.

Empowering Sustainable Farming Through Technology

Water is the foundation of every farm, and how it’s stored determines its strength. As Dr. Kailas Mote, Former Director of the Maharashtra State Horticulture and Medicinal Plant Board (NHM), highlighted, the increasing adoption of geomembrane-lined farm ponds has played a pivotal role in helping farmers sustain year-round cultivation even under harsh climatic conditions.

He emphasized that high-quality pond lining and professional welding practices are vital for long-term water security, adding that such initiatives make Maharashtra a model state in horticulture and irrigation innovation.
